At St. Maroun’s College Information technology and the resources it provides have become powerful learning tools for the classroom.

We integrate Information and Communication technologies into all areas of study from Kindergarten to Year 12. In our classrooms, technology is used as a tool to aid learning with a great emphasis on skill development and acquiring more information to aid the learning experience.

Innovation & Technology:

There is a rich and embedded use of technology at St. Maroun’s College from Kindergarten through to Year 12; via a mixture of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) and college-provided devices.

Alongside individual technology ownership and use, we have installations of interactive whiteboards and sound systems in classrooms across the campus. The students have access to user-friendly printing facilities and their personalized email logins to stay connected to their home-room teachers. WiFi access is available across the whole campus with administered access to student-friendly content and sites. The use of technology & devices is also administrated & guided by teachers and help from our IT staff is also available at all times.

“I think the BYOD program is a good idea because it is a good opportunity for us to learn how to use computers and it also helps us learn different subjects in a more fun way” – Brandon (Primary Student at St. Maroun’s College)

“I am really enjoying the BYOD program. I enjoy doing my reading and maths on my laptop with Reading Eggs, Mathletics and I also like to research too about my public speaking topics. I loved learning about 3D printing with my classmates and teachers. I love using computers” – Zaeem Khan (Primary Student at St.Maroun’s College)

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Program:

At St Maroun’s College, we utilize some of the latest cloud-based technologies integrated into the classroom to enhance and expand the learning experience for all of our students. Working in conjunction with these new technologies is a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program, for students from Year 3 to Year 12.

Our BYOD program provides students with access to expanded, global resources and content. It also gives them an opportunity to take ownership of their learning and approach to creative problem-solving.

We believe that communication and collaboration helps improve student engagement and long-term academic performance. It also encourages our students to become life-long learners.

All new enrolments for 2019 and onwards, from Year 3 to Year 12 must ensure that they have purchased their BYOD device for classroom usage.
